Rust Converting Primer is a single pack ready to use high-performance
surface preparation aid with integrated primer/base coat. It penetrates and
reacts even with deeply rooted rust and converts into a stable,
non-reactive organo-metallic coating. COROFIX eliminates the traditional and cumbersome process of rust removal such as Sand blasting, acid pickling etc which are not only environmentally affecting but also weakens the structures due to metal loss. COROFIX penetrates deep into crevices, corner and seams of structures and vessels thus eliminating any chance of formation of nucleus for under paint rusting. is high solids, two components Anticorrosive Epoxy Primer having excellent rust mingling
properties and hence an ideal primer to overcome the requirements of sand
blasting of rusted surface.
Proper surface preparation by sand blasting is essential for any high performance coating. But in many practical situations sand blasting can not be done especially in areas where sensitive instruments, electric motors, hydraulic equipments, pharmaceutical plants and the likes are in close proximity. PROPOXY-EP comes in handy in these difficult conditions due to it's excellent adhesion, thorough soaking into rust layers and tight bonding to base metal.
